2026/7 Club Trips

The following list is a guide to all the future club trips and events that are scheduled for 2026. As more details are known and confirmed, information will be updated on this page. Also, when ready for booking, a downloadable trip invitation form in PDF format will be available adjacent to the relevant trip, which can also be booked online. More details will be announced about each club event when available.

WOODathon 2026

Dates: Saturday & Sunday 19th & 20th September 2026
Location: Alton Towers & Drayton Manor, Staffordshire, UK.

Time for the final big event of 2026 and what a weekend it will be! I’m sure I don’t need to say why – but it does involve WOOOOOOD!

This fun weekend will start from 09:00 on Saturday 19th September at Alton Towers when we meet at the Main Gates of the park. Once inside we will all walk to Nemesis Reborn for a first riders takeover. (Sadly no more morning ERS's allowed)

Following Nemesis Reborn you are free to explore the Park at your leisure. You could form groups and takeover some of Alton's other great rides like Rita, Smiler, Galactica, Sonic, Thi3teen, Duel, etc. 

Sadly due to the massive price increases there is no longer a lunch get-together. But to end the day we will all meet around 19:30 for a full ONE HOUR ERS on the excellent woodie -WICKERMAN. And by that time of the night it will be nice and dark! 

Sunday 20th September starts at 08:45 in the Tower Suite (same location as last year). Once I have issued you all with your tickets, at around 09:15 we then enter the Park together and head over for a one hour ERS session in their excellent Frontier Falls area, including Gold Rush, Drunken Barrels, etc. An award winning hot lunch back in the Tower Suite is included at 12:30. A vast range of Club merchandise will also be on sale and we will be joined by the new park manager for a Q&A session.  After lunch you have plenty of free time to enjoy the park and zoo.

Then at 16:30, it is time for our big finale. We will all meet in the fabulous Vikings area of the park where you will enjoy another one hour multiple ERS. Rides include, Loki, Jormungand, Thor, etc.  
We will then conclude the day with our traditional Club season send off!

Winter Wonderland 2026

Location: London, UK

Our annual informal gathering at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, London for a few rides, bratwurst and some Mulled Wine/German Beer. This is a 'meet at the park' event, so no pre-booking necessary, just turn up. As usual, no ERS, just turn up and we'll have some fun together! 

Meet at the fantastic Schwarzkopf "Munich (Olympia) Looping" coaster just after the gates open at 10:00. As introduced previously you will now need to pre-book your entry online (link below). As usual, no ERS, just turn up and have some fun together!

Christmas Quiz 2026 - ONline Virtual Event

Date: TBC
Location: Your living room! (virtual event)

Join us ONline from the comfort of your own home for our annual RCCGB Christmas Quiz. 

It will take place from 19:30 in our very own Virtual Paradise Room. As last year, there will be 8 rounds, a live chat room and an after quiz virtual party. All online, so don't miss it!

Ski Trip 2027

Date: TBA
Location: TBC

Our annual skiing trip to Europe. Experience going up and down hills, but not on a coaster! Whether you are an experienced skier or a complete beginner, everyone is welcome and it's a fun week.

Blackpool Bash 2027

Date: April 2nd to 4th 2027
Location: Blackpool Pleasure Beach, UK

Everybody say “Blackpooool”.  With 5 ERS’s, 2 shows, lunch and a party! Come along to our biggest, most famous, action packed, super fun, Coaster Crazy weekend of them all: The Blackpool Bash.

The theme for 2027 is Uniforms, so get designing your outfits for the Coaster Crazy party on Saturday evening!
