The following list is a guide to all the future club trips and events that will occur during 2020 and advanced information for 2021. As more details are known and confirmed, information will be updated on this page. Also, when published, a downloadable trip invitation form in PDF format will be available adjacent to the relevant trip, which can also be booked online. More details will be announced about each club event when available.

On the Piste 2020 ~ Winter Club Ski TripDates: 18th - 25th January 2020
Location: Meribel, France With the roller coaster season closed in the UK, a Skiing trip is run where members of the RCCGB will head for a weeks skiing (and Apres Ski!) in Tignes, France. Sorry, this trip is now full and bookings have closed. But this is an annual trip each winter, so if you fancy it in the future, and let's face it - if you've watched Ski Sunday, how hard can it be?!? Contact details are provided in AIRtime ONline. |

Blackpool Bash 2020Dates: April 17th - 19th 2020
Location: Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Blackpool, UK Everybody say.... Blackpooooooooool! Yes it’s time for our annual pilgrimage to Blackpool, including 5 ERS’s, 2 shows, lunch and a party! So come along to our biggest, most famous, action packed, super fun, Coaster Crazy weekend of them all. This is by far the best way to meet members, enjoy some fantastic coasters and see some quality live entertainment. This is one trip that you’ll be talking about for weeks, so come along and join in the fun. The weekend of non-stop action starts with ‘Friday Fun’ at 19:45 on Friday April 17th in the Paradise Room (Which is inside the white Casino Building, opposite the Noah’s Ark Entrance to the Park). Here you can enjoy a drink before sharing a great evening of top quality professional entertainment. I have lined up some fabulous acts for you. Following ‘Friday Fun’ you can have another drink or two before the 23:00 close. Saturday events start at 08:45 in the Paradise Room (tea/coffee, wristband issue). At around 09:30, we will head onto the Park for a one- hour Exclusive Ride Session (ERS) on ICON and as a bonus for the younger ones - The Blue Flyer (Zipper Dipper). Following this you can use your INCLUDED unlimited ride wristband to enjoy the dozens of other rides at the Park (If you have a ‘Season Pass’ or Tesco Voucher you can opt out and have a price reduction). At 11:30 those who want to can meet at the Derby Racer for a ‘ride takeover’, and then everyone will re-group at 12:30 for a hot lunch in the Paradise Room. The latest Club merchandise will also be on display and available for purchase. The whole afternoon is then free for you to enjoy the Park at your leisure before you return to the Paradise Room at 19:30 for the “Holidays” themed ‘Coaster Crazy Show!’ You are invited to dress up (optional) in anything that is connected to “Holidays”. Just have fun interpreting it and think outside the box! As usual you will enjoy an evening of lively entertainment featuring new acts, games, the ever-popular Gong Show and some great prizes. As usual we end the day with a special Club party – A non-stop mix of great dance and party tunes from over the years to keep you on your feet! You’ll also be able to enjoy a final drink before the 23:00 close (approx). Sunday starts at 09:00 in the Concourse Room (below the Paradise Room) and at 09:30 we have a special start to the day with no less than THREE ERS’s: The classic Big Dipper, the World’s #1 racing woodie, The Grand National and the Ghost Train. Following the ERS’s if you then want to stay in the Pleasure Beach for the whole day on Sunday too, you can purchase an unlimited ride wristband at the special discounted price of just £22.00 (normally £39). If not, you can of course enjoy the rest of Blackpool, visiting the piers, The Tower, Tussauds, Velvet Coaster, etc. The price for this absolutely action packed, coaster crazy weekend is an amazing £60.00! (non-members same price and no limit, but must attend and be booked with a member). This is the SAME PRICE as last year. If you have a Season Pass or will be using Tesco Vouchers for your Saturday wristband you can deduct £20.00 per pass/voucher when you come to pay online or by post. The price includes Friday Fun, all events on Saturday (two ERS’s, hot lunch, show & party), unlimited ride wristband for Saturday and the three Sunday ERS’s! The only extra is the optional unlimited ride wristband for Sunday (after the ERS’s) if you want to stay on park and keep on riding, and that is just £22.00 (normal price £39.00). Great value for three days of coaster crazy fun. If you can only make one RCCGB trip this year, make it this one. USA 2020 ~ Visual Check!Dates: May 29th - June 14th 2020
Location: Starting in Canada, then East Coast, USA The original plan was to tour the west coast of the USA which is much more expensive than the east coast, so having looked long and hard at the options, there was no way I was going to cancel a USA trip, and I have instead decided to postpone the west side tour until things calm down (post Brexit). I know some of you will be disappointed but I am only thinking of you and your money! But what I have now done is a completely new itinerary, on the east side, where it is much better value for money. Plus the new itinerary has 1000 miles less driving which also reduces the time sitting on the coach by over 12 hours in total. And even better, the trip coaster count will increase to over 110 instead of under 80! And if that’s not enough, some of those coasters will include THREE brand new coasters: Candymonium and Pantheon announced in the August AIRtime ONline and Jersey Devil announced in the September issue! Plus other new ones for us like Twisted Cyclone, Yukon Striker and Twisted Timbers. The price is now confirmed at less than £3000. Mega-GLOW-Mania 2020Dates: August 7th - 9th 2020
Location: Folly Farm, Oakwood & Heathertons, Pembrokeshire, Wales Three days of fun in Wales. Folly Farm on the Friday, Oakwood on Saturday and Heathertons on Sunday. Loads of ERS's, a party on a woodie and a go-kart race. More details nearer the event. |

WOODathon 2020Dates: September 26th - 27th 2020
Location: Alton Towers & Drayton Manor Park, UK Our annual event to Staffordshire, with Alton Towers on the Saturday and Drayton Manor Park on the Sunday. Both days will include ERS's and lunch and we will be joined by Park management for Q&A sessions. More details nearer the event. |
